]]> Twice a year the St John’s College Trust Board (SJCTB) invites Anglicans to apply for study scholarships for theological education. The deadline for the first round is 31 March 2024.

New Scholarships
All applications require a letter of endorsement or a development plan (for multi-year study) from the diocese. Please contact The Rev’d Sarah Moss  (clergy scholarships) and Karen Spoelstra (lay scholarships) by 15 March 2024 to discuss this requirement.

Continuing scholarships
If you have been awarded a multi-year scholarship, please note that that you must apply annually for its continuation.

]]> The quarterly diocesan Ministry Hubs are designed to offer training and a strong peer community for lay leaders in the diocese. Hubs start with kai and worship at 1pm before participants choose one of the 2-3 workshops offered. In 2024, workshops will be offered in the areas of pastoral care, children and families, youth and ‘Relevant Outreach and Proclaiming the Gospel’. Hubs meet on Sunday afternoons from 1-4pm, in a range of churches around the diocese. More details to come in the new year. The 2024 dates are:
  • Sunday 3 March 2024
  • Sunday 19 May 2024
  • Sunday 4 August 2024
  • Sunday 20 October 2024.
